This website has been a long time coming…but we think it’s been worth the wait. With the new design, and WordPress template we can update you on our goings on much easier (we love WordPress!).
Also, we can now blog right in our home page and so can you! So, to encourage participation from our two university partners in the blogosphere ,we’re giving out prizes to UNBC and UBC faculty, students or staff who post a comment about our site. You must have a valid university email address to qualify.
1st blog comment from each university will receive a black hoodie with the ALRF logo.
2nd blog comment from each university will receive an ALRF baseball cap.
Visit us here often to see what’s new…and let us know what you think about our site and our activities.
The Aleza Lake Research Forest Society is self-funded by harvesting timber from its 9,000 hectare forest tenure, and has had an active harvesting program for the past 8 years. This year’s program is focused on Block 22 located at the centre of the Research Forest. This notification of harvest allows all interested groups to ask questions and provide comments on harvest activity at ALRF.
If you would like to comment or have a question please don’t hesitate to post it here or to contact us! For harvest operations contact Ralph, for research and education contact Melanie, and for general inquiries contact Kathleen.
For anyone driving or visiting the forest during active harvesting operations, please review the safe driving and radio calling guidelines, or better yet, arrange for a guided tour!
Stay tuned to learn how our UBC and UNBC partners can win prizes by posting comments on our new website!
