Living Lab

Dr. Juan Carlos wanted to add a practical / hands on component to his UNBC Forestry 209 class.  I had a great day hosting this field tour visiting old growth and managed areas while discussing stand dynamics, impacts of climate, slope, aspect, soil and water on tree growth.

Spring Tour

We count it a privilege to host tours on the Research Forest. Hugo Asselin from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue along with Gary Wilson of UNBC came out for a tour and snow show through the Forest.  Hugo haSocial and Aboriginal Forestry, Forest Ecology, Paleoecology, Dendrochronology, Anthracology
