Coordinated in partnership between SLU and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestry.ubc.ca\/resfor\/afrf\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest<\/a>, the group traveled through BC&#8217;s lower mainland and the Interior to speak with various forest practitioners and learn about our diverse management issues. In addition to touring the ALRF, the students&#8217; two-day stay in Prince George included pine forests and caribou habitat near Bear Lake, as well as a visit to the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.unbc.ca\/~wetbelt\/af-trail.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Ancient Forest<\/a> before continuing on to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcbridecommunityforest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">McBride Community Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty-two graduate students and instructors from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) visited ALRF on October 9th as part of a two-week intensive field course.
