UNBC Forest Lands

The Aleza Lake Research Forest Society also takes an active in management of the the forest lands around the Prince George Campus.  This is done under contrast with UNBC Facilities.   Regular Projects include the management of :

  • Dangerous Trees Management
  • Fire fuel load reductions
  • Brush control
  • mapUNBC

The Society helps instruct several with a number of Natural Resource Management and Forestry courses often exploring the UNBC Forest Lands for class or lab work.  Some of the classes we assist with are:

  • FSTY 209 Forest Ecology and Silvics
  • FSTY 305 Silviculture
  • NREM 333 – Field Camp

The Society also maintains the #mapUNBC project
